Feature Walls & Full-Room Installations
Statement feature walls and full-room schemes that add character, bold colour or a standout paper, done cleanly.

A feature wall is the quickest way to give a room character without redecorating the whole space, a bold colour or a statement paper that draws the eye. We help you get it right: which wall, what suits the light and your furniture, and a clean execution that looks deliberate rather than busy.
We also take on full-room installations where the whole scheme works together, colour and paper planned as one. We'll talk through what suits the room before anything goes on the wall, so you're confident in the choice.
What’s involved
- Statement paint colours, cut in crisply against ceilings, trim and the surrounding walls
- Feature wallpaper, including bold, large-repeat and hand-finished papers
- Setting out the wall so the colour or pattern sits right against corners and fixtures
- Colour and finish advice so the feature lifts the room rather than fighting it
- Tidy work around sockets, switches and edges
What affects the cost
Every job is different, so we quote each one rather than publish fixed prices. These are the things we look at:
- Whether the feature is paint or wallpaper, each is a different amount of material and labour
- The wall's size and height
- For paper: the pattern repeat and the quality of the paper chosen
- How much surface prep the wall needs before the feature goes on
How the job runs
Every job follows the same four stages, consultation, preparation, the work itself, then a proper clean-up. For feature walls & full-room installations, that looks like this:
Choose the wall and the look
We look at the room with you, help you settle on the right wall, and talk through whether paint or paper will give the effect you're after — then put a written, no-obligation quote to you.
Prepare the wall properly
A feature wall gets the same prep as any other — filled, sanded and primed — because a bold colour or a striking paper shows up every flaw underneath it.
Paint or hang
A statement colour cut in crisply against the ceiling, trim and neighbouring walls, or the paper set out and hung so the pattern sits square to the room.
Step back together
Tidy-up first, then a proper look at the finished wall with you — in daylight where we can — before we sign it off.
Common questions
- Won't a feature wall date quickly?
- Not if it's chosen well. We'll steer you towards a colour or paper that suits the room and your taste rather than a passing trend, and because it's one wall, it's far easier and cheaper to change later than a whole room.
- Which wall should be the feature?
- Usually the one your eye lands on first, behind a bed, a sofa or a fireplace. We'll look at the room with you and suggest what works best with the light and the layout.
- Can the feature tie in with the rest of the room?
- That's the idea. We'll match the other walls and woodwork to complement the feature so it stands out for the right reasons rather than clashing with the rest of the scheme.
- Paint or wallpaper for a feature wall?
- Paint is quicker, cheaper, and easy to change when you fancy something new. Paper gives you pattern and texture that paint can't. It comes down to the room and the effect you're after, and it's exactly the kind of thing we'll talk through when we come and look at the job.
- How long does a feature wall take?
- A painted feature wall is usually done within a day, prep included. A papered one depends on the paper and how much making good the wall needs first — often a day as well, sometimes two. You'll get a realistic timescale with the quote.

What clients say

Cat Crossan via Facebook“We have had our bedrooms recently decorated and we are so happy with the results. Bill had a difficult job taking off wallpaper in all of the rooms, then preparing them for papering with lining paper. The paper he used is really high quality and has given a flawless finish. He then painted them all. I was worried we'd be able to see the joins but it's completely smooth. We also had a patch where we'd had a leak and he repaired it so you can't tell. Would definitely use him again for any future decorating projects. Really professional and excellent with communication.”

Jason Plysl via Facebook“Professional service from start to finish. Quote was broken down in detail and reasonably priced. No hidden extras. Communication was clear and honest. The work carried out was of a high standard. Bill and Ash were very polite and tidy, clearing up any mess before finishing each day. Highly recommended. I will definitely be acquiring their services again.”
