What affects the cost

Every job is different, so we quote each one rather than publish fixed prices. These are the things we look at:

• The size of the premises and the number of areas or rooms
• Access and timing, phased works or restricted hours affect how long it takes
• The condition of the surfaces and how much prep is needed
• The specification, durable, scrubbable finishes for busy spaces

How the job runs

Every job follows the same four stages, consultation, preparation, the work itself, then a proper clean-up. For commercial decorating, that looks like this:

   Site visit and programme

   We visit the premises, talk through hours, access and which areas have to stay open, and quote in writing with a realistic programme — so you know what happens when, before anything starts.

   Protect and phase

   The site set up cleanly and safely, with the work phased area by area so staff and customers can keep moving around the building while we go.

3. 3

   Decorate to the schedule

   Proper preparation first, then durable, scrubbable finishes in the high-traffic spaces — with anything that changes flagged to you early, not after the fact.

4. 4

   Hand back ready to use

   Each area cleaned, cleared and handed back ready for business, finishing with a walkthrough against the agreed scope.

Can you work around our business hours?

We plan commercial work to keep disruption low, phasing areas so parts of the premises stay usable, and agreeing timings with you in advance. If a job needs work outside normal hours, let us know and we'll discuss what's possible.

Are you insured for commercial work?

Yes, we carry public liability cover up to £2 million and employer's liability up to £10 million, and we're happy to provide details for your records.

Can you use hard-wearing finishes for busy areas?

Yes, for corridors, receptions and other high-traffic spaces we use tougher, scrubbable finishes that stand up to knocks and cleaning, so the decoration lasts rather than marking up within weeks.

Do you decorate rental properties and communal areas for landlords and agents?

Yes. Rental properties between tenancies and communal areas — hallways, stairwells, entrances — are all work we take on, and we can schedule around tenants and notice periods so the property isn't sitting empty longer than it has to.

How does a commercial quote work?
